MIPS technology
WHAT IS A MIPS ?
A thin layer between the liner and the head that moves independently of the helmet, following the movement of the head in case of impact. This technology mimics the protective structure of the brain to reduce rotational forces and brain trauma from oblique impacts.
These inclined impacts are very common and mainly in action sports.
MIPS RELIABILITY
Helmets are usually tested by dropping them vertically onto a solid surface. Conventional helmets are designed to protect you from straight and radical impacts.
